Hindsight is easy
Every result here picks a winner (or loser) after the fact. Nobody knew in 2015 which coins or companies would survive, and for every investment that soared, others went to zero and aren’t on this site at all. Past returns don’t predict future ones.
This isn’t advice
Imagine Calculator isn’t a broker, a bank, or a registered investment adviser. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything, and none of it considers your goals, timeline or situation. For decisions about your own money, talk to a qualified professional.
What the numbers leave out
- Most results assume one purchase at the start of a year, held until today. Your real buy date and price would differ.
- Taxes, trading fees and spreads aren’t subtracted unless the page says so. A fund’s own yearly fee is already built into its price.
- Stock and fund results assume dividends were reinvested unless the page says otherwise.
- Big drops along the way were real. Many people who bought early sold during a crash and never saw the gains shown here.
Data can be wrong
Prices come from outside providers and can be delayed, revised or simply wrong. We test our math and cross-check the data, but mistakes are possible. If a number looks off, please tell us and we’ll fix it. How each number is worked out is on the About page.
Crypto is extra risky
Cryptocurrencies can lose most of their value quickly, trade around the clock, and have far less protection than stocks. Exchanges fail and coins get delisted. Treat crypto results here as history, not a hint.
Paid links
The site may show ads, and may one day link to brokers or other services that pay us if you sign up. That never changes a calculated number, and we’ll always label paid links.
